RBC3019

Standard Features

Since its introduction in 1859, Michael Thonet’s Chair 14 (RBC3019) has sold over 80 million units around the world. Its iconic form is created by six manually bent beech rods fastened together with two bolts and ten screws. Thanks to its low weight, attractive price, and legendary strength, Thonet’s chair quickly found its place within the cafés of Vienna, earning it the moniker the ‘café chair’. In 1876 Thonet introduced an alternate configuration named Chair 18 (RBC3020). Both chairs are available in a variety of finish and upholstery options.
